The role of the TVI is to: 

· Provide Specialized Instruction & Services

· Interpret Medical Eye Reports

· Conduct Specialized Assessments

· Actively participate in the ETR & IEP

· Recommend Educational & Instructional Strategies

· Provide Ongoing Observations

· Use the Natural Environments to Address Goals

· Communicate with Caregivers and School Personnel

· Collaborate with Classroom Teachers and Specialists Working with the Student

· Provide Support and Instruction in the Expanded Core Curriculum

· Provide Training and Support to School Staff and IEP teams

· Participate in Transition Planning
